Memory Walk 2010: The Move to End Alzheimer's

Saturday, September 18th 2010, the UWFox Student Association was on the move to end Alzheimer's. beyond our rigorous schedule of studying, our team put fourth effort to fundraise for those who suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Throughout the two weeks leading up to the event, we solicited donations from fellow students, faculty and staff at UW Fox Valley. With the help of everyone involved and everyone who donated to the cause, we were able to raise $871.04 in a matter of two weeks!

On the day of the event, the team walked 5k from the Fox Cities Stadium, to Fox Valley Technical College and back with hundreds of other participants whom also raised money this year. We had a great time and learned a few things about Alzheimer's disease. We hope to do the event again in the future and would be pleased if others from the campus would join us.

Putting together the walk was a wonderful experience for me and I thank my fellow senators for all of their help.

Thanks everyone!
